The day my son was born should have been the happiest moment of my life. Instead, it became the day I destroyed my family. As my wife lay in the hospital bed holding our newborn, I asked a question that shocked everyone in the room. “I want a paternity test.” She looked confused, then asked quietly, “And what if he’s not yours?”
My answer came without hesitation.
